Last weekend was Easter and for the long weekend we decided to go to Orford to see my mom and help out with the cabane à sucre (sugar sack). The trees had been tapped the week before and unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate with our plans so the syrup wasn’t being boiled and the buckets were dry, but I took pictures anyway.
Saturday was cool but sunny so my aunt Edith let her horses out to enjoy the fresh air.
I was amazed at how much snow there was up at the cabane.
Seriously, here is my uncle off the trail.
But the trees are tapped and ready to go.
And that evening we had a bunch of family over for Easter dinner and I got to spend a bit of time with my nephews.
