We were pretty excited to be in San Francisco but we didn’t really know what we wanted to do. We ended up purchasing an all day transit pass for $14 each and decided to ride the cable cars.
We jumped on the car and all of the seats were taken so Kirby and I got to stand at the front of the car hanging off the car with our backs to the parked cars/traffic on the right side of the car. It was so much fun. We couldn’t get enough.
We could hop-on and hop-off as much as we wanted so we got off and walked around fisherman’s wharf and then went to China town for lunch and had dim sum. Kirby ate steamed tripe. I couldn’t get past the little hairs.
After lunch we went downtown and walked around the financial district. There is some cool architecture, but otherwise a little boring.
We also went to Haight/Ashbury. It was weird. Very commercial. We rode the city bus back to our hotel and relaxed a little before heading back out to ride the cable cars at night to see the city lights. It is just such a fun way to experience the city.
