After 2 nights in San Francisco, we hit the road north again and went on our way to Sonoma and Napa. We drove through some beautiful hills, grapevines and olive groves.
We had breakfast in Sonoma at a cute bistro and then got lost for a bit trying to find our first winery, but eventually we found Ravenswood, one of my favorite wine producers. I sampled 5 wines and bought 2 bottles that I can’t get in BC.
We then left the Sonoma valley and went to Napa. Napa was much bigger than I expected and we plotted our route to our next stops. Our first Napa stop was Robert Mondavi. The vineyard was very pretty, but everything was very expensive and I didn’t end up getting anything other than a few samples.
Next we were off to Beringer which had beautiful grounds and maybe the best wine I’d had all day. I was a little tipsy by the time we left so we decided it would be our last stop.
