A few weeks ago, Kirby and I went for a lovely drive on the back roads by Renfrew where we found the Bonnechere Caves. Before entering the caves they talked about the limestone in the area and showed us samples of fossils that have been found nearby (and it would be far more interesting if I could actually remember what any of these are).
The caves were nice and cool on the hot day.
The guided tour didn’t take very long, but it was interesting to hear about how the caves were discovered and about the formations found within the cave.
Kirby and I also bought a couple of bikes a few weeks ago and we’ve really enjoyed exploring the bike paths in the city. From where we are, we can bike along the Rideau and down by the Ottawa River in front of the parliament buildings.
